Spent some of this afternoon out at ‘Woodhenge’ an ancient site active from about 5000 years ago. New stumps have been positioned in the old post holes, quite a few of them over a small area, plus in the background there you can see a viewing platform which is built to the original height of the constructions (Or so I believe)
We finally received word today that the powers that be in Denmark have granted my residency rights! So come Thursday I can go and register for a CPR (Tax) number and Health Card and start to feel like a true member of the Danish community. That’s a whole pile of deeply hidden stress from out of my mind, happy happy joy joy.
Another day of painting and gardening on #Bornholm. Guest wing is getting there slowly but surely though still needs some plumbing work carrying out which is a bit beyond me. Hopefully we can finish it soon and take the pressure off. At least with our space upstairs we can work it to our own schedule which given our stuff isn’t arriving until about the 26th now there’s no hurry.
Getting into a bit of a routine working on the house now, and my hands are starting to pick up some tool induced callouses! We’ve been splitting our time between what will be our computer room upstairs and the guest rooms, though with only two weeks before our first guests to use the rooms, we really need to ensure they get priority. Besides, our removal van is not due for another week or so yet, so no rush on having our rooms ready. Though judging by the time it’s taken us to do the small office, the main room will be weeks! And that’s after we’ve split the bedroom off from what will be the geeked out living space.
We also seem to get some excellent thunderstorms on Bornholm! Not sure if that’s usual, or we’ve just been lucky. I do love a good thunderstorm, there’s something about them that help me to remember how small we are even on our own planet’s scale, let alone the universe.
